Q: When are dues
usually due?
A: For 2008, it is April 1st;
beyond 2008 the due date will be March 1st.
Q: Do I have to
pay dues all at once?
A: Please contact a board member about other payment
options.
Q: When are
association meeting usually held?
A: On or about March 25, we strive to have 3 other yearly
meetings.
Q:
When is trash removal day?
A: Trash day is scheduled on Tuesday mornings by Waste
Management. All trash, garbage, or other waste
shall not be kept except in sanitary containers
and all equipment for the storage or disposal of
such material shall be kept in a clean and
sanitary condition and removed from view from
the street and abutting properties. Trash
containers may be placed at residence curb no
earlier than the day before scheduled day of
trash removal and must be taken from curb by 7pm
on the day trash has been removed.
Q: Are there any rules about street
parking during snow emergencies?
A: No, but please try
not to park on the streets when the city needs
to get through to plow or to treat the roads; it
would be ALOT easier if all the snow could be
plowed, not plowed around cars on the street.
Q:
Vehicles not in use?
A: No automobile or motor driven vehicle shall be left upon any
Lot or street for a period longer than thirty
(30) days in a condition wherein it is not able
to be operated upon the public highway. After
such period the vehicle shall be considered a
nuisance and detrimental to the welfare of the
Subdivision and shall be removed.
Q:
I plan to replace my roof, do I have any
requirements?
A: All roofs must be Weatherwood in color.
Q:
I'd like to get a new mailbox.
A: All mailboxes within the subdivision shall be of the
coordinated design and construction as
determined by the association.
Q:
Do I have to join the association? Must I pay
the dues?
A: Every owner of a Lot in the Subdivision shall become a member
of the existing unincorporated Association known
as Barrington Ridge Association, and each such
owner, including Declarants, and the Joining
Parties shall be entitled to one vote on each
matter submitted to vote of the members for each
Lot owned by him or it; provided however, that
where title to a Lot is in more than one person,
such co-owners acting jointly shall be entitled
to but one vote.
The Association
shall be empowered to collect assessments for
the maintenance of the entranceways and drainage
reserve as hereinafter, provided. Any
assessments established by the Association, from
time to time, shall be levied in equal amounts
as to each of the lots in Barrington Ridge. In
the event any amount so assessed or levied is
not paid when due and remains in arrears for
more than thirty (30) days, the Association may
charge interest on the entire unpaid balance at
the highest rate of interest then permitted by
law or such lower rates as the Association my
determine. A notice of a lien describing the
Lot, the assessment amount, interest due,
collection costs, including reasonable
attorneys' fees, shall be a charge and a
continuing lien in favor of the Association upon
the Lot against which each such assessment is
made.
Q: How can I
make my business known in the neighborhood?
A: Contact the association at

business listed on the neighborhood business page.
Q: I'd like to
help with the neighborhood, but don't know where to
begin?
A: Look over the committees that serve the
neighborhood to see where you might have an interest and
contact the person who heads up that committee. The
three areas are Beautification, Architectural Review,
Social.
Q: What are the
restrictions around fencing?
A: No chain link, cyclone, wire, or other similar type
metal fencing may be constructed on any lot. However, a
transparent wire screen shall be allowed behind a split
rail fence or other wood fence. Fences may be 6 feet or
less in height.
Q: Can I park
my boat, commercial truck (larger than a
pick-up), camper, etc. in front of my house?
A: Yes, but only for 72 hours in a thirty day period. Other wise, they
must fit in your garage or you will need to find another
place to store them. |
