Seeking to replace Ash
trees:
The Ash borer beetle
has infested areas near by and is on the way toward us.
We are replacing the trees after speaking with a
certified arborist and also following the lead of
Columbus in seeking to replace Ash trees. The trees
could be sprayed, but the cost of replacing is cheaper
in the long run. In addition, as laws stand now, the
trees would still be required to be removed (even if
sprayed) if the beetle is found within a half mile of
here.
Albyn's Nursery gave us the best price of $250 per
12'-15' tree installed and watered. We hope to replace
all the trees over a two year period, allow them to
grow, and cut down the ash trees over the next 4-6
years.
