2010 Meeting Minutes - 2010 Association Dues are now due!

Budget Report

Everyone needs to set a budget, and our neighborhood association is not unlike your household. We meet every year to set a budget and work with funds available. We know that it is important to stick to the budget. This year, 2010, we have set the annual lot payment at $105.00 per lot, due on March 25th. When we do not receive payment from dues, then the budget is compromised. We have done our best to work with funds each year. If you have not or can not pay your dues, please contact us asap. It is very important that we set up a payment plan to receive payment. We, as your neighbors, understand the economic situation, and are very willing to work with each homeowner to get any and all past dues paid. We thank everyone for all the help and support we have received though out 2010 and we look forward to a great new year.

Past Meeting Minutes

Seeking to replace Ash trees:

The Ash borer beetle has infested areas near by and is on the way toward us.  We are replacing the trees after speaking with a certified arborist and also following the lead of Columbus in seeking to replace Ash trees. The trees could be sprayed, but the cost of replacing is cheaper in the long run.  In addition, as laws stand now, the trees would still be required to be removed (even if sprayed) if the beetle is found within a half mile of here.

Albyn's Nursery gave us the best price of $250 per 12'-15' tree installed and watered.  We hope to replace all the trees over a two year period, allow them to grow, and cut down the ash trees over the next 4-6 years.

Snow Removal!

Per the city’s snow removal policy, road crew’s do not plow or salt subdivisions but it looks like the special circumstances that make Barrington Ridge so beautiful, also makes us eligible for some winter help!  So, please be aware when parking on the streets that snow plows will be attending to our roads.  Let’s all make it a bit easier for the plows to manage our streets.
